He, of his desire, illuminates the luminaries.

I have always wondered why the early people chose fire from all elements to worship. Perhaps because it was thought to be a piece of the all powerful Sun ? Perhaps because it was not solid, liquid or gas ? Perhaps because, whatever way it is held, the flame always points heavenwards ?
